Big Bang, 2NE1 and the Korean Wave

On the left is Big Bang. They're a pretty big thing in the Korean wave right now. From left to right: T.O.P (oldest), Daesung, Seungri, Taeyang, G-Dragon (leader). Although their debut was somewhat successful, it was not until the release of "거짓말" ("Lies") that the group gained mainstream success. The group is also working on a Korean Volume 3 album entitled "Memories". The group is currently on break in Japan and people anticipate the release of G-Dragon's single album slated to release August 18, 2009. They are scheduled to perform at the annual korean music festival Dream Concert, in October 2009. At the 2009 I Love Korea Dream Concert, they will performing side by side with 2PM, Super Junior, TVXQ, 2NE1, and Wonder Girls. More artists will be confirmed later in the year.

This little chunk of information made me happy, because 2PM is in the Dream Concert, which is a PRETTY BIG thing. If you notice all the other people playing in it: Super Junior, DBSK (TVXQ), and Wondergirls. Dream concert is a huge concert where all South Korean fans gather and watch the current bands in the Korean wave.
---> Wiki info of the Korean Wave: The Korean wave or Korea fever[1] refers to the increased popularity of South Korean culture around the world since the 21st century, especially among the Millennial Generation. While popular throughout the Asian continent, its influence is strongest in China, Japan and Southeast Asia, spreading to India,[2] the Middle East,[3] Central Asia,[4] Iran,[5] Israel,[6] Turkey[7] and Russia.[8] The Korean wave is rapidly expanding beyond Asia and has a substantial presence in North, Central and South America, particularly in Mexico and Argentina,[9] and is increasingly becoming popular in the United States.[10] It is also gaining momentum in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia, led by Hungary[11] and Norway.[12] It is gathering positive interest in North Africa, attracting a sizable niche audience in Egypt.[13] Currently, the Korean wave is starting to hit the shores of the UK[14] and Australia.[15]

GLOBAL DOMINATION!!!!!!! >:D It's about time!

But anyway.

This is 2NE1. Newcomer band (debuted in May), but they've already hit the top charts. They're called the female Big Bang, which kind of irks me a bit because they're skill isn't really there yet (no offense, girls. I still thin you're good).
But it's whatever. I'm going to Katie's today, so I had to post before I get picked up sometime. If I didn't post I would have gone insane.
